Switch To Mac Os Boot Camp

I have Windows 7 installed in boot camp on my 2010 Mac Pro. I'm trying to boot back into OS X and cannot seem to boot back. It's just stuck on the grey screen with the apple logo with the spinning loading icon. I've tried holding down option and I get all 3 options but when I select OS X it will not boot, but it does boot into Windows. Also, I've went to bootcamp options within Windows to make sure it boots to OsX and still no luck.

  1. Apr 06, 2020 When you use Startup Disk preferences to select a startup disk, your Mac starts up from that disk until you choose a different one. Choose Apple () menu System Preferences, then click Startup Disk. Click and enter your administrator password. Select your startup disk, then restart your Mac.
  2. Open the Control Panel, click on Startup Disk, and change the setting; this item will only appear if the Boot Camp drivers are installed. Alternatively, restart the computer with the X or Option keys held down; in the second case, select the Mac OS X system, push the button with the straight arrow, and change the startup disk from System Preferences afterwards.
  3. Apr 07, 2020  When trying to switch from Win 10 in Boot Camp back to Mac OS, I get 'Could Not Find the OS X Boot Volume' I have my MBP 1TB disk partitioned into tow equal partitions, one with Win 10 and the other with Mac OS.
  4. Apr 06, 2020  When you use Startup Disk preferences to select a startup disk, your Mac starts up from that disk until you choose a different one. Does anyone have suggestions or give me some help?

Jul 11, 2014 All you need to do to boot straight into OS X is press and hold the “Option” button on your Mac’s keyboard as soon as you power the system on. Keep holding it, and about 10 seconds later, your Mac. Jul 17, 2018 When in Windows go to the system tray ^ symbol, find the bootcamp icon and right click for a shortcut menu and select Restart Mac OS. When you are in the Mac OS, go into System Preferences possibly of the profile with administrator options and select start up disk. You may have to unlock the option and then you can choose Windows OS.
